Welcome back to the #NoriceJanuary series! For day two, I'm sharing my favorite chicken sandwich recipe that's not only satisfying but also packed with wholesome ingredients. The secret to making this the best sandwich ever? Whole wheat bread and purple cabbage. This wholesome and nutritious sandwich is perfect for lunch or dinner.


  • 4 slices of whole wheat bread
  • Shredded chicken
  • Cabbage mix (purple and green)
  • Shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne or Suya pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste or powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey


  1. Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, cabbage mix (both purple and green), and shredded carrots.
  2. Make the Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, ketchup, cayenne pepper powder, garlic paste and honey.
  3. Combine and Mix: Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and shredded veggies. Mix everything thoroughly.
  4. Layer on the Bread: Take the four slices of whole wheat bread and evenly distribute the chicken and veggie mixture on two of them. Place the remaining slices on top.
  5. Grill: Heat a grill pan over medium heat. Carefully transfer the assembled sandwiches onto the pan. Grill each side until golden brown.
  6. Serve and Enjoy.


- If you don't have a grill pan, you can also use a non-stick pan.
